Nearly half of all adults in the Netherlands will experience mental health issues at some point in their lives. This includes those around you. Therefore, take the Standard Mental Health First Aid course. You’ll learn to recognize signs of mental health issues and how to support them when they experience such problems.
With the Standard MHFA course, you’ll expand your knowledge of mental health issues in adults and learn to recognize signs of mental health issues. You’ll practice how to talk with someone you suspect may have mental health issues and how to respond when someone is in crisis. With the knowledge and skills you learn in this course, you can truly make a difference in the life of someone experiencing mental health challenges.
This course consists of 12 hours of instruction spread over 2 days. You’ll receive the digital MHFA manual and access to the e-learning module. Once you’ve attended both sessions, completed the e-learning evaluation, and passed the exam, you’re officially a First Responder MHFA and will receive the accompanying certificate.
This course is intended for employees of the University of Twente with little or no knowledge of mental health care.
